A/Prof Ada Cheung is an endocrinologist at Austin Health and a NHMRC/Dame Kate Campbell Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne, Australia. She leads the Trans Health Research Group at The University of Melbourne undertaking co-created research to improve transgender health. She is a member of the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion at the US Endocrine Society and recent GLOBE LGBT Ally of the Year.  Ada is an avid science communicator engaging extensively with mainstream media, social media and international sporting federations to guide trans health-related policy recognised with the University of Melbourne Excellence in Public Engagement Award. In 2024, Ada was named in Cosmos Magazine as 1 of 50 most inspirational and remarkable women in Australian science, and last month, was inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women as a Change Agent for her leadership, tenacity and unwavering determination to advance gender equality.
