Conditions of award
The purpose of this award is to provide financial support to PhD students and Early Career Researchers to attend the Inaugural NHMRC Centre of Excellence in Primary Aldosteronism Symposium on Wednesday 13th November 2024 in Adelaide, Australia (Primary Aldosteronism Symposium — ESA-SRB-ANZBMS 2024).
Several awards of $500 each will be granted to assist with Symposium-related travel and expenses. Symposium registration will be complimentary for successful applicants.
Travel to the Symposium must occur in the year of application.
Eligibility
Applicants must be PhD students or Early Career Researchers (within 5 years of being awarded of their PhD, recognising career disruptions) with evidence of research interests in Primary Aldosteronism.
Application
Applications must include the following documentation:
• A cover letter outlining reason for the application, research interests in Primary Aldosteronism and intended benefits of Symposium attendance (max 1 A4 page).
• A short CV (max 2 A4 pages) highlighting a list of publications, research funding, conferences, professional contributions and career disruptions (if relevant) in the last five years.
• A letter of support from the PhD supervisor or Post-doctoral Advisor discussing the merits of the applicant (max 1 A4 page).
All applications should be a single, combined PDF file and named as follows:
PACE Travel Grant_2024_Full Name.pdf e.g. PACE Travel Grant_2024_John Smith.pdf.
Please note, you will need to have/create a google account in order to apply for the grant. This can be created during the application process.
Selection
Applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee appointed by the Symposium Convenors.
The Selection Committee has a duty to apply the criteria equitably to all applicants. Applicants will be assessed on the basis of their cover letter, supporting letter and CV.
Successful applicants will be notified by email by mid-October 2024.
Presentation
Recipients must acknowledge the financial support of PACE when presenting their work.
