Dr Jimmy Shen is a Research Fellow at Hudson Institute of Medical Research and a Consultant Endocrinologist at Monash Health. After completing his PhD with Dr Morag Young and Professor Peter Fuller, Dr Shen joined the Cardiovascular Endocrinology Research Group under Dr Morag Young as a research fellow before focusing on clinical research in primary aldosteronism in the current Endocrine Hypertension Research Group led by A/Prof Jun Yang. Dr Shen is actively involved in various clinical trials in primary aldosteronism and currently working on a new diagnostic modality for subtyping primary aldosteronism using a novel tracer in nuclear medicine.
