Martha Hickey is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne. Her clinical and research interests are in menopause and she leads Menopause Services at the Women’s. She led the first Core Outcome Set for menopause (COMMA) and is now leading an international Priority Setting Partnership in menopause (MAPS). She is the “topic expert” for the NICE guidelines on menopause and led the first Lancet clinical series in menopause resulting in over 200 mentions on news, TV and radio worldwide. She has a strong commitment to evidence based medicine and is an Editor for the Cochrane Collaboration.
